4-H Small Animal Expecatations Meeting and Beef Tagging

4-H Small Animal Expectations Meeting
Our annual Small Animal Expectations Meeting will be held at the Extension Office Thursday January 22nd at 7:00pm. All small animal leaders and members are encouraged to come. At this meeting, superintendents for Poultry, Rabbits, Goats, and Dogs will present deadlines and paperwork for the 2015 Jackson County Fair. Changes for the 2015 year will also be introduced at this meeting. Please plan to attend this important meeting.

Beef Tagging
Similar to last year, beef project members are going to be required to fill out paperwork, collect DNA samples, and take pictures of their beef cattle Instead of bringing the animals in to be tagged, we will have a Paperwork Check In day at the Extension Office on February 7th from 10:00am- 12:00noon. All samples, paperwork, and pictures are due during that timeframe. All information and forms must be together in order to be accepted. If you will not be available to drop off your paperwork at that time, members are allowed to have another family drop off it off for them. If you have any questions about this process, please contact the Extension Office at (517) 788-4292 or Beef Superintendent Mershell Cook at (517) 206-5066 prior to February 7th. Late or incomplete entries will not be accepted.
