Ella Sharp Park and Fair Entry Deadline

Clubs Needed
Ella Sharp Park is looking for help from the 4-H groups to weed the park annual flower beds. The Jackson Area Career Center's FFA members have planted the park flower beds for over 30 years. Ella Sharp Park needs your help with up keep on the flower beds, which includes weeding and dead heading of the flowers. Not only would this be a great community service project but would also provide a way for your club to make a stipend of $125.

Workers are needed on Saturday’s beginning on June 22nd. Start time is between 8am - 9am, but your group must be done by 11am, prior to 10am is preferred). The more volunteers you have the easier the job is to do. It would be recommended to have at least 15-20 members to take care of the 8 large beds in the park within two hours. Dates are on a first come, first served basis and you can choose as many dates as you would like until they are all reserved. It is also recommended to bring extra tools, such as scuffle/garden hoes, as the park only has 10 or so to provide. For more information or to reserve a date, please email Jason Gehrke: Jason.gehrke@jcisd.org or call him at 517-768-5107.

Available dates are: June 22nd , June 29th, July 6th , July 13th, July 20th, July 27th
