Whether you are trying to get the most out of your vegetable garden, enhance your landscape with new trees, or want to start or improve a raspberry patch, our summer garden classes will be a fun way to improve your garden and landscape knowledge. Join Bob Bricault and Gretchen Voyle, Michigan State University Extension Horticulture Educators for Jackson and Livingston Counties for a series of garden and landscape programs being offered this summer. The series of classes includes: Managing pests and stresses in the vegetable garden (June 26), Tune up your landscape-easy steps towards vigorous plants (July 10), Growing the bramble patch: raspberries and blackberries (July 24), and Selecting trees to enhance your landscape (August 7).
There is a $15.00 registration fee for each program. All classes will be held on Tuesdays evenings starting at 7:00 pm at the Jackson County MSU Extension office at 1715 Lansing Ave. Classes are open to anyone interested in plants.
