4-H'ers Needed At Ella Sharp Park

Ella Sharp Park is looking for help from the 4-H groups to weed the park.  The Jackson Area Career Center's FFA members have planted the park flower beds for over 30 plus years.  Ella Sharp Park needs your help with up keep on the flower beds, which includes weeding and dead heading of the flowers.  Not only would this be a great community service project but would also provide a way for your club to make a stipend of $125.

Workers are needed on Saturdays beginning on June 16th from 8a - 10a (or 11a if you do not finish in the two hour timeframe), or prior to 10a (preferred). Dates are on a first come, first served basis and you can choose as many dates as you would like until they are all reserved. It would be recommended to have at least 15-20 members to take care of the 8 large beds in the park within the two hours alotted. It is also recommended to bring extra tools, such as garden hoes, as the park only has 10 or so to provide. For more information or to reserve a date, please email Jason Gerhrke or call him at 517-768-5107.

Available dates are: June 16th, June 23rd, June 30th, July 7th, July 14th, July 21st, Aug 18, Aug 25th.
