Connections goes mobile!

This week, Google announced that they are working to make Blogger compatible with mobile devices. The service is still in beta (testing), but is available and mostly functional. Going to Connections (msuejackson.blogspot.com) on your phone's built-in web browser should load the mobile version of the site, as opposed to the full site, which results in easier reading and faster page loading. We tested the service on several of our employee's phones and would like to share the results:

HTC/Android
Browser opened mobile version of Connections
Was able to view calendar
Experienced difficulty opening a document in the 'Documents Tab'

Apple iPhone
Browser opened mobile version of Connections
Was able to view calendar
Successfully opened a document in the 'Documents Tab'

Blackberry
Browser opened full version of site
All features are available on the full site, but will take longer to load over your mobile network
Update: Browser loaded mobile version of site when using msuejackson.blogspot.com/?m=1

Standard/Non-smartphone
Unknown/varies. Phone models and operating systems are too numerous to list. The full site loaded on the Pantech Slate that we tested it on. The mobile site may load for some, but not for others. If your phone loads the full version, try adding "/?m=1" to the end of the web address. For example: msuejackson.blogspot.com/?m=1

As mentioned, the service is still in beta and will certainly be improved upon as bugs and issues are discovered. Try it out on your phone and see if it works! If your phone has a barcode scanner built-in, you can reach the site by scanning the QR code below .
